Where is your hometown?
I’m originally from Baghdad, the capital of Iraq but I feel that I’m an Arkansan as I’ve been living in Arkansas for more than 10 years.
Tell us about your professional background.
Seventeen years ago, when I decided to enter the computing world, I found my first IT job. I built customized computers for gaming, education, and personal use. Then, I moved to the United States to work and study at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock (UALR). I had multiple jobs in IT at UALR like Teaching Assistant, Webmaster, and so on. A trucking company hired me as an Operational Research Analyst after graduation. A couple of years passed and I started to get into some data migration work. I worked on a large project to map and migrate data between two project management systems. It was after I finished that project that I started working at ACDI as a Professional Services Engineer.
Tell us about your educational background.
In 2005, I got my bachelor’s degree in Information Systems/Computer Science from Al-Rafidain University College – Baghdad. Then, in 2006, I attended University of Arkansas at Little Rock graduate school. I earned my Master of Science degree in Applied Computing with a 3.71 GPA.

What is your favorite sport?
If bodybuilding is considered as a sport, then I’m a big fan. There’s also indoor spinning, outdoor cycling, racquetball, and ping-pong of course.
